Majik Antenna

Why do I call it a Majik Antenna?

Because it was made from my junk box,

and it WORKED!

 

The whip was not fully extended the 59 inches. The original schematic sketch. Cleaned up schematic.


"Junk Box" Parts List:

1 - 48 turns by 3 inches long by 7/8 inches Dia. B M W Miniductor #3011 7/8" by 16 TPI
1 - Mini box 2 1/2 "H. 2 1/8" W. 1 5/8" D.
1 - telescoping antenna, 59 inches
1 - 100 Pfd. variable capacitor
1 - SO-239 chassis mount
1 - SO-239 double male connector
2 - Grommets - used to insulate whip from box and the other to support the top end of the coil.
1 - knob
1 - test lead for tap lead - Mini Clip Test Jumper RS-278-016A or Micro RS-278-017


The hardest part was making the support bracket and connection point for the whip.
The bracket was attached to the capacitor. It's hard to see.
